After leaving college from completing my A-levels, I, like many others had no idea what I wanted to do. I found a job for a small family run facilities company, in the Finance team, where I discovered you don’t have to be amazing at Maths to enjoy accounting. I was fortunate enough, for that company to believe in my talents, and they supported me through college whilst working and I completed my AAT Diploma in Accounting and Business Management. After 14 years and two babies, I decided it was time to move on and worked in a number of senior financial roles in the public and private sectors in the city before discovering Purple Square. The core values of Purple Square really resonated with me and felt it was a natural progression moving to a company that had family values and it’s people at its heart. Now two years on , I have enjoyed streamlining processes to make everyone’s lives easier as well as providing accurate and transparent financial data, so that all member’s of the Purple Family can understand our financial position which also enables the Senior Leadership Team to make informed decisions.
In my spare time, I am a busy mum of two with very active children , so when I am not trying to tire them out, I love music and dancing.
